       Charles Knute, a Spanish War veteran died Sunday night at the age 45 years at the Elgin State hospital where he has lived for the last 5 years.
       He leaves two sisters Mrs. Carrie Wagner of Racine, Wis., and Mrs. Mary Windt, of Detroit, Mich.   A nephew, John Knute of Bird street and a niece, Mrs. George Wagner of 573 Walnut avenue also survive.
       Funeral services will be in charge of the Elgin Spanish War veterans and held from Sheehan's Chapel, Thursday afternoon at 2"30 o'clock.   Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery.
