     J. W. Hipple writes from Atlanta, Ga. That he found his son, James in the typhoid ward at the hospital at Fortress Monroe.

     James Hipple is reported to be in critical condition at Fort McPherson, Georgia.

     A Letter from Miss Hipple, at Chicakamauga states that her brother, James, appears somewhat improved.   His temperature remains about 100.   The fever must run three weeks longer.   He is stronger.

     A letter has been received from Atlanta, Georgia stating that James Hipple had been removed to that city from Chicakamauga, he was in a tent on a hard cot, with no other bad clothing than a heavy blanket, it is claimed, and the only available food for him was a poor quality of milk.
