HAS STIFF NECK; DIES AS RESULT FROM PARALYSIS
Peculiar Ailment Proves Fatal to Former Chicago Worker
       What was first believed to be an ordinary every day stiff neck but which later resulted in the complete paralysis of the limbs, caused the death Saturday night, of Robert Graham, at his home 426 Villa street.   He was 53 years old anbd was employed in Chicago until six weeks ago when he was forced to give up his work on account of a stiff neck.   Attending physicians were unable to diagnose the case, which continualy grow worse, finally resulting in death.
       The deceased was born in Minnota near Newton Stewart, Scotland, September 30, 1867, coming to America when 20 years of age.   He settled in DeKalb 25 years ago, moving to Elgin in January, 1916.
       He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Jennie Graham and three daughters, Jean, Marie, and Jessie of 426 Villa street.   Out of town relatives who are in Elgin to attend the funeral are Alfred Stark and family of Berdyn.   Mrs Tillie Barkus and Miss Muriel Stark of DeKalb, and three nephews.   Ed Graham of Meden, Wis., Joe Graham of Detroit and Peate Graham of Besmer, MIch.
       Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p. in front Norris chapel, in charge of Spanish War veterans.   Allyn Drake will officiate. Reverend *****   Burial in the soldier plot of Bluff City Cemetery
