       William C. Stumme, 63 years old, of Great Falls, Mont., died at an Elgin hospital, yesterday noon.   He had been visiting here since last Monday.   Mr. Stumme was born at Elk Grove, Ill. On Feb. 15, 1874.   he was a member of Elgin's Company E, in the Spanish war and had experienced three years army service in the Phillippines.   He was married to Emma Leininger of State Center, Ia., and later moved to Great Falls.
       Surviving relatives include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lavern Chemberlain and Mrs. Elsie Depner, and four grandchildren, all of Great Falls: two sisters, Mrs. Charles Lange and Mrs. Martin Bremmer of Elgin: and a brother, Charles Stumme of this city.
       Funeral service will be held at the Bethlehem Lutheran church Wednesday at 2, the Rev. J. Helmer Olson of Chicago officiating.   Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.   Friends may call at Wait-Ross-Allison chapel.
